Steve Key 2016Steve Key is an award-winning songwriter, performer and recording artist, best known as the writer of "33, 45, 78 (Record Time)" recorded by country music star Kathy Mattea. He hosts Songwriters At Play showcases at various venues on California's Central Coast. He currently resides in Shell Beach, CA.

Steve Key and Dorian Michael will share concert billing at Pear Valley Vineyards in Paso Robles on Friday March 3. This complimentary concert will be inside the Pear Valley event room with wines available for purchase by the glass or bottle.
Steve is celebrating a new CD, his first release of new material in 15 years. "Steve Key with Dorian Michael" is a collection of seven Key originals, recorded April 2016, live at Sutton Sound in Atascadero. Steve is probably best-known as the producer of Songwriters At Play, a live music series held at numerous venues on the Central Coast, which is also a twice-weekly radio show on The Krush 92.5. Before he arrived in this area ten years ago, Steve was a touring folksinger who played major concert venues and folk festivals across the country and in Canada. His songs were covered by dozens of folk and country acts, including Grammy-winner Kathy Mattea. The new songs include a collaboration with local writer PJ Robertson, and a ballad inspired by John Steinbeck's "East of Eden". You can preview the tracks at http://stevekey.com/music-group-26.html
Dorian Michael is a man of many bands, but also a well-known solo performer specializing in acoustic fingerstyle guitar original compositions and interpretations of classic blues. He plays in The Cinders, CC Riders with Louie Ortega, The Irene Cathaway Rhythm & Blues Band, and also with jazz vocalist Nicole Stromsoe. More than 40 years as a working musician, Dorian has recorded many CDs, and is also a teacher with two books and three instructional DVDs to his credit. www.dorianmichael.com

The Listening Room Phoenix is centrally located in midtown Phoenix AZ and is open to audiences who appreciate great acoustic music. Although most performances are free, participating audiences are encouraged to make at least a $20 donation to the artist. This will go a very long way in keeping each artist on their path to success and keeping The Listening Room a healthy destination for great music in Phoenix. Audiences are participating in a live video recording of the performance. Your entrance to The Listening Room Phoenix is consent to be photographed and filmed.
The Listening Room Phoenix shares its home with Mazvo Auto Car Care Center and The Flying Pigeon food truck on 7th Street south of Camelback Rd., tucked away from the street and on the ground floor of the offices of Element Studios West at 4614 N 7th Street, Phoenix 85014. Parking available on E. Meadowbrook Road, only steps from The Listening Room.
